UNO CHICAGO GRILL INTRODUCES STEAK VALUE GUARANTEE
New 16
oz. Steak Leads Spring Menu Expansion
BOSTON (April 15,
2003) – Today Uno Chicago Grill
is introducing a 16 oz. Boneless New York Strip, its
largest-ever steak meal, at all of its locations. The casual
dining
restaurant chain is so confident of the new item’s
quality and how it will be received by Uno guests that
founder and company chairman, Aaron Spencer, is issuing
a personal satisfaction guarantee. “We truly believe that we have the best food for
the value. We challenge anyone to come in and try our new
16 oz. New York Sirloin. If you don’t agree that
it is the best steak value anywhere, we’ll give you
your money back,” proclaimed Spencer.
The suggested retail price of the new item is $13.99,
the same price of the 14 oz. New York Sirloin Strip that
it replaces on the menu. Uno steaks are center-cut, aged,
well-marbled, closely trimmed, extra thick and lightly
marinated. The new 16 oz. item complements four existing
steak menu items: 10 oz. Top Sirloin, 8 oz. Petite Sirloin,
Sirloin Tips and Grilled Shrimp & Sirloin. Each steak
entrée is served with a choice of rice, fries, skinless
bake or roasted vegetables, plus a house or Caesar Salad
at half-price.
The personal satisfaction guarantee will be available
at participating restaurants nationwide.
Other newly introduced menu items on the spring menu at
Uno Chicago Grill locations include:
- Seafood: Lobster Pie and Lobster & Shrimp Rolls
(available in New England only)
- Salads: House or Caesar
topped with Grilled Chicken, Grilled Shrimp, Teriyaki
Salmon, Sirloin Steak or Lobster and Shrimp
- Appetizers:
The popular Chicago Sampler, now with Onion Petals
- Kid’s
Menu: Kraft Macaroni and Cheese and Cotton Candy & Cherry
Slush
- Desserts: Strawberry Shortcake
- Drinks: Mango Margarita,
Paradise Punch and Lemon Drop Martini
“Our new spring menu highlights our Chicago grill
heritage and our commitment to serving the best food around,” said
Uno Chicago Grill Executive Chef Chris Gatto. “And,
of course, customers can still get our world famous Chicago
deep dish pizza.”
